Do you feel the vibration at any speed? Only when you accelerate? Do you feel the vibration when you accelerate hard and when you gently give it gas?

Check the CV joints and make sure the axle nuts are tight. Wouldn’t hurt to check other fasteners like the brake caliper bracket bolts while you’re in there.

What if the front steering malfunctions and steers the car into another lane! What a disaster! No thanks! I’ll stick with my tank treads!

I feel vibration on my gas pedal and floorboard during acceleration. My engine mount are oem new. I took the car to muffler shops to test for leak. They always refuse to hang the car up, they will just check the car start up noise and said there is no leak.

Sounds like the fuel tank or fuel pump may be leaking. I’d address the fuel smell in the cabin before doing anything else.

Do you hear the rubbing only in tight turns? Sometimes a wheel and tire combination can rub on the fenders or the struts. You could have them check suspension bushings and CV joints as well while you’re in there.

An oil change should not affect power output.

Comment on 14 Reasons Your Car Jerks When Braking, Slowing Down, or Stopped by Sean https://cartreatments.com/car-jerks-when-braking/comment-page-1/#comment-1284962 Thu, 08 Dec 2022 17:44:51 +0000 https://cartreatments.com/?p=510134#comment-1284962 In reply to FOLLY.

Can’t know for sure without an inspection, but here are a few possibilities. You could have aggressive brake pads that bite hard with very little pedal pressure. You could have an issue with the brake master cylinder or brake lines that are causing excessive brake pressure. You could have a bad engine mount or control arm bushing that causes excessive motion when braking, but I think this is less likely. You could also potentially have a caliper that is starting to seize. If it’s the caliper, a rebuild or replacement may be necessary.

Comment on 3 Symptoms of a Bad EGR Valve (and Replacement Cost) by Mr Bell https://cartreatments.com/egr-valve-symptoms-replacement-cost/comment-page-1/#comment-1284843 Wed, 07 Dec 2022 23:42:23 +0000 http://cartreatments.com/?p=1051#comment-1284843 Ive got an issue with my Hyundai santa fe- it is 17 years old and done 105,000 miles so far. Been serviced regularly, oil changed on schedule, filters on schedule. I use regular diesel fuel treatment to keep the fule intake and diesel injectors clean and alternate the diesel injector treatments through the tank with twice yearly DPF cleaning stuff.
Noted the car was struggling to accelerate and was having periods of little to no grunt or engine pick up when trying to accelerate. Then this led to difficulties starting the car where the diesel would fire up then putter out a few seconds later. Been told it is the EGR valve- fortunately its a hyundai and not a ford ranger- total cost for repair £275 British pounds sterling- that is reasonable if I can keep the old tank on the road and not have to fork out to buy a new car.
I think any EGR replacement costing anything more than 600-700 USD is going to be a rip off- shop around and try somewhere else- you could even buy the part yourself and get a mechanic to fit it.
